PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC demagnetizer capable of suppressing the recording surface of a magnetic tape from occurring an error cause due to DC magnetization.;SOLUTION: The DC magnetizer 1, which is an apparatus for DC-demagnetizing a recording layer provided on one side of the magnetic tape MT using a demagnetization head 21, is provided with: a running system 10 to which the magnetic tape MT is set; and a control part 40 which makes the magnetic tape MT run by controlling the running system 10. The DC magnetization head 21 is arranged on the other side of the set magnetic tape MT, and generates a magnetic field to perform DC-demagnetization of the recording layer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
