GEL FOR ISOELECTRIC POINT ELECTROPHORESIS IN TWO-DIMENSIONAL ELECTROPHORETIC SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems wherein isoelectric point electrophoresis operation requires a long time, and its application to a high molecular-weight protein is difficult, in conventional two-dimensional electrophoretic systems, and to organize an easy to handle two-dimensional electrophoretic system having less sample loss or failure, in place of the conventional two-dimensional electrophoretic system that requires technological skills.;SOLUTION: In the isoelectric point electrophoresis operation in the two-dimensional electrophoretic system, by using a hydrophilic filter as a gel support, concentration reduction of gel becomes possible, and shortening of the migration time and application to the high molecular-weight protein are realized. In addition, since the hydrophilic filter has high physical strength and will not droop due to own weight, decay caused by the concentration reduction of the gel is prevented, and handling is facilitated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
