PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propulsion device for an amphibious vehicle capable of efficiently generating a propulsion force to advance it by a simple constitution.;SOLUTION: This device is provided with a propeller shaft 2 to transmit a drive force from an engine through an external gear to a wheel 4, and through an internal gear to a screw 7, right and left wheels 4 having a water feed port 6 at the center, an installation pipe composed of a horizontal pipe and a vertical pipe in T-shapes on which the wheels 4 are rotatably installed at both ends of the horizontal pipe through the water feed ports 6 with an injection port of the vertical pipe directed in the opposite direction with respect to the advance direction, right and left rotary shafts contained in the horizontal pipe of the installation pipe at corresponding positions to the water feed ports 6 to take the drive force from the internal gear to rotate, right and left screws 7 provided to be rotatable with the rotary shafts, and right and left screw clutches to connect and separate the rotary shafts to and from the internal gear.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
