REMAINING LIFE EVALUATION METHOD AND REMAINING LIFE EVALUATION SYSTEM OF HIGH-PRESSURE SODIUM LAMP

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remaining life evaluation method of a high-pressure sodium lamp, with which the remaining life of the high-pressure sodium lamp can be predicted in a comparatively short time, while keeping a lighted state. PSOLUTION: This method is for evaluating the remaining life of the high-pressure sodium lamp, regarding a high-pressure sodium lamp of the same specification as that of the high-pressure sodium lamp of the evaluation object, in which while the relation between the color characteristics and the lifetime consumption rate is obtained beforehand, the color characteristics of the high-pressure sodium lamp of the evaluation object is measured; and the remaining life of the high-pressure sodium lamp of the evaluation object is predicted, by comparing the evaluation result with the relation.
