STONES FOR USE IN MASONRY WORK REVETMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stone for use in masonry revetment, which brings about expectations of natural environmental improvement.;SOLUTION: A stone main body S which is formed of a natural stone for use in the masonry revetment has a plurality of dents 3 machined in a surface thereof, and therefore vortexes easily generate in an internal hollow portion or a peripheral portion of each dip, which facilitates implantation of spore such as zoospore of seaweed contained in water, for instance, on the surface of the stone main body, by floating on the vortexes. Therefore compared with conventional stones for the masonry revetment, seaweed etc. are easily implanted on the stones and grow on the same. When the seaweed etc. have grown, various aquatic organisms grow accordingly, which brings about easy habitation of fish and shellfish, and therefore a desirable ecosystem in water is quickly formed, to thereby contribute to improved natural environment.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
