STONE MASONRY BLOCK, STONEWORK EMBANKMENT, AND STONE MASONRY ROAD REVETMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable insects to breed by spreading foothold plates over the surface of blocks of a stone masonry, with the foothold plates being constituted to lie from bottom to top of the block revetment so that insects may climb up and down the block revetment. ;SOLUTION: A block revetment is constituted with bottom stone blocks 15, terraced stone blocks 16, side stone blocks 17, corner stone blocks 18, and top stone blocks 19. Foothold plates 21 to 24 for insects are spread over from bottom to top of the block revetment to cover parts of the bottom stone blocks 15, terraced stone blocks 16, side stone blocks 17, corner stone blocks 18, top stone blocks 19, and part of a top end concrete 8. The foothold palate 22 is provided with minute holes to prevent insects from slipping. Therefore, insects may climb up and down the block revetment along the foothold plates 21 to 24 and may breed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
