NONADDICTIVE PALLIATIVE FOR PAIN CAUSED BY CANCER AND THE LIKE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaddictive palliative for a pain caused by cancer, given by using a nonaddictive antispasmodic as a safe palliative for a spasm due to the pain caused by the cancer in an internal medicine or an injection.;SOLUTION: This nonaddictive palliative for the pain caused by the cancer is given by using a "scopolia extract" or "atropine" as the antispasmodic for the pain caused by the cancer in the internal medicine or the injection, wherein the "scopolia extract" or the "atropine" which is an active ingredient thereof is said to relax a spasmodic throbbing pain, does not directly act on tensional smooth muscle, but exhibits antispasmodic action, by inhibiting action of a parasympathetic nerve of an automatic nerve controlling the muscle, and therefore scarcely has addiction differently from a narcotic analgesic or antispasmodic. The palliative develops as well an effect on spasmodic constipation by similar action. Further, the palliative is efficacious against catatonic inflammation of muscle, such as a stiff shoulder.
