PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To firmly join wooden members to each other and prevent rainwater from intruding from joint portions into the wooden member by a simple method in a wooden building.;SOLUTION: Reference holes of predetermined sizes are drilled in a column 1 and a beam 2, and spiral grooves are cut in the inner peripheral surfaces thereof. A repellent is applied within a predetermined area from the upper end surface of a screw member 11, and the screw member 11 is screwed into the hole formed in the column 1. Since the small gap present between the outer peripheral surface of the screw member 11 and the column 1 is filled with the repellent 17, a rainwater advancing passage is cut off. Since a screw hole is axially formed in the screw member 11 from its end face, the column 1 is firmly joined to the beam 2 with a bolt 14 screwed to the screw hole and a joining hardware 13.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
