PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specimen imaging device constituted so as to certainly identify a specimen even if the reading of the identifying information preliminarily applied to the specimen fails so that the mistake or re-inspection of the specimen is prevented. PSOLUTION: The specimen imaging device 1 is equipped with: an imaging means 41 having a data display part 28 on which specimen-related information containing specimen information is recorded to image the cells in the specimen 25; an output means 54 for outputting the cell image captured by the imaging means 41; a first reading means 42 for detecting the identifying information contained in the specimen-related information; and a second reading means 43 for imaging an information display part 28. When identifying information is read, the output means 54 is controlled so as to output the identifying information along with the cell image; and, when the identifying information is not detected, the output means 54 is controlled so as to output the information related to the data display part captured by the second reading means 43 along with the cell image.
