PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core for a run-flat tire capable of using a general rim, facilitating attaching to the rim, and preventing a bead portion from coming off, and a run-flat tire provided with the core and a tire-rim assembling method thereof. PSOLUTION: This doughnut-shaped core 10 for a run-flat tire attached to a rim 7 is divided into a lower layer core 11 and an upper layer core 12. The lower layer core 11 includes a divided portion formed at at least one portion in the circumferential direction, an inner circumferential surface along a mounting surface 75, a large-diameter portion 11a with a larger diameter than those of rim bead bases 73, 74 by being located close to the inside of the rim bead bases 73, 74 in the state in which the lower layer core 11 is attached to the rim, and a notch portion 15 accommodatable with bead portions of the tire dropped into the rim drop portion 76.
