PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily execute the checking of the monitoring control of a power distribution system in a simple manner, voltage current aptitude decision, voltage regulator setting, load accommodation and loss reduction or the like, and the checking of an optimum system taking into consideration these based on a power factor. PSOLUTION: In a method for estimating the distribution line power factor, distribution lines 2 having values close to characteristic information are selected so as to estimate the power factor of the distribution line 2 referring to a database 7 wherein distribution line characteristic information data including the power factor are recorded for each distribution line code which is classified by the characteristic information such as a district division, a line length, a high-voltage demand ratio.
