PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for sanitation treatment of articles with high insect pest control efficacies, such as acarids/flea/pediculus, especially high in ovicidal efficacies and excellent in persistency of the efficacies.;SOLUTION: The invention relates to the method for sanitation treatment of articles, especially method for insect pest control of acarids/ovicide, comprising wrapping the articles in a container and reducing oxygen concentration of the air in the container to 10%, most preferably 1.5%, within 6 hrs by using an oxygen concentration reducing means such as a deoxidant, etc., and then reducing the oxygen concentration to 0.1% during the treating time. Not only imago/larva of acarids but eggs can be annihilated in a short time such as 1-2 days by carrying out the method, the method is excellent in persistence of efficacy.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
