PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quantitative determination method by chromatography of a trace constituent capable of easily and accurately determining quantity of the trace constituent with bad sensitivity to chromatography, and a sampling unit for solid phase micro extraction (SPME) used for this quantitative determination method.;SOLUTION: The method of determining the quantity of the trace constituent by chromatography comprises a first process of vaporizing a silylation agent and making fiber of the sampling unit for SPME adsorb it, a second process of vaporizing the trace constituent and making the fiber adsorb it, a third process of silylating the trace constituent on the fiber or in the gas phase vaporized from the fiber, and a fourth process of determining the quantity of the trace constituent by chromatography.
