PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refractory that composes a vessel for forming a high-purity melting silica glass product not using a felt liner generating problems.;SOLUTION: The refractory 301 for composing a vessel in which a glass product is formed at the elevated temperature comprises on the surface 303 two or more degasification passages including vias 307 and surface grooves 305 to be in contact with glass at the elevated temperature. The degasification passages comprise the vias 307 having a diameter of from 0.5 to 5 mm, wherein the via consistency of the contact area of the surface is about 1-100 vias per square inch (from about 1.55×10³ to 1.55×10⁵ vias per square meter).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
