PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polyester having high transparency; to obtain a resin particle dispersion using the polyester produced by the production method; to obtain an electrostatic charge image developing toner having high image quality and excellent hue preservability by using the resin particle dispersion; to provide a method for producing the same; to obtain an electrostatic charge image developer; and to provide a image formation method using the same. PSOLUTION: The method for producing a polyester comprises a process for using at least a basic compound, a Bronsted acid compound or a Bronsted acid compound salt and polycondensing a polycondensable monomer to give a polyester. The resin particle dispersion is obtained by using the polyester obtained by the production method. The method for producing the resin particle dispersion is provided. The electrostatic charge image developing ground toner is obtained. The electrostatic charge image developing toner is obtained. The method for producing the electrostatic charge image developing toner is provided. The electrostatic charge image developer is obtained. The image formation method is provided.
