PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonlinear semiconductor module which optimizes input/output characteristics of a non-linear semiconductor optical element so as to obtain a desired output signal from an input signal, and also to provide a nonlinear semiconductor optical element driving device for driving the same.;SOLUTION: When input light Pin excites a bistable semiconductor laser 2, output light Pout emitted from the end face 6 of the bistable semiconductor laser 2 is emitted to a semi-transmissive mirror 3. Transmitted light Pt transmitting the semi-transmissive mirror 3 is emitted to a photoelectric conversion element 5. The photoelectric conversion element 5 detects the transmitted light Pt of the bistable semiconductor laser 2, and outputs an electrical reception signal Sr. Reflected light Pr reflected by the semi-transmissive mirror 3 is injected into the bistable semiconductor laser 2 after being fed back. An oscillation state is changed by injecting the reflected light Pr into the bistable semiconductor laser 2.
