PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple rotation type absolute value encoder for detecting the absolute angles of many rotations over a wide range, or being readily miniaturized, and having practicality enhanced with reliability enhanced, as well.;SOLUTION: This multiple rotation type absolute value encoder is equipped with absolute value encoders 2 and 3 for detecting an absolute angle of an input shaft 1 and multiple rotation absolute value encoders for detecting absolute angles of speed reduction shafts 1A and 1C coupled via reduction gears 6, 6A, and 6C to the input shaft 1. This multiple rotation type absolute value encoder is provided with the plurality of reduction gears (6, 6A) and (6, 6C), the plurality of speed reduction shafts 1A and 1C, and the plurality of multiple rotation absolute value encoders (2A, 3A) and (2C, 3C), and the speed reducing ratios of at least two reduction gears are made different from each other.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
