PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a micro-reactor capable of efficiently performing a reaction by sufficiently diffusing two kinds or more of substances to react such as a specimen containing DNA to be amplified and a reagent containing a primer or the like, and a reaction method using it. PSOLUTION: A flow passage-like reaction part 9 is provided at a point of a merging part 8 where a plurality of flow passages fed out with a liquid containing the substance to react are merged and a portion having a wide flow passage width and a portion having a narrow flow passage width are alternately formed on the reaction part 9 in a flow passage direction. After the merged liquid is fed out to the reaction part 9, a liquid feeding direction of the merged liquid is switched and repeatedly forwardly/rearwardly moved in the flow passage of the reaction part 9 to perform the reaction.
