PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic wiring determination method, capable of automatically determining an optimum route of a wire on a substrate so as not to intersect other wires on the substrate in a short time, and a computer program for making a computer execute it. PSOLUTION: The automatic wiring determination processing comprises steps of inspecting whether an inspection straight line connecting two points as the start point and end point of a wire intersects other wires or not; determining, when the inspection straight line intersects the other wires, a straight line part connecting the start point to any one of end points of the other wires present in positions closest to the start point as a segment constituting a candidate of optimum route; and resetting the end point used for determination of the candidate of optimum route if interseting of the inspection straight line with other wires as a new start point. Processing in each step is further executed based on an inspection line newly connected between the new start point and the end point to generate a candidate constituted of segments.
