A crop plant having a mutant allele induced endogenous gene, when compared to a wild-type plant of the same species, and confers resistance to glyphosate, mutant alleles derived thereof, the glyphosate tolerant is due to the presence of the mutant allele, which is the induction of the endogenous plant gene, crop plants is provided. Glyphosate tolerant plants with mutant alleles derived at least one of wheat endogenous gene, progeny and seeds are provided. There is also provided a method for producing glyphosate-tolerant plants.
