PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road recognition device, a road recognition method and a road recognition program, capable of registering an on-road attribute of a road into a map database. PSOLUTION: This road recognition device has: a road specification means specifying the road on which a vehicle travels; an image acquisition means acquiring a neighborhood image of the vehicle from a camera unit loaded in the vehicle; a recognition means recognizing the on-road attribute of the road by analysis of the neighborhood image; and a registration means registering the on-road attribute of the road into the map database.
