PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display of raster scan system using a diffraction type optical modulator in which a screen is raster-scanned by using modulated spot light as scanning spot light after modulating spot light by using either one or more elements of the diffraction type optical modulator.;SOLUTION: The display of raster scan system display using the diffraction type optical modulator includes: an illumination optical part for radiating light from a light source as spot light; a diffraction type optical modulator which modulates the spot light which the element radiates from the illumination optical part and generates intensity-controlled diffracted light of a plurality of diffraction orders; and a projection part which turns the diffraction light from the diffraction type optical modulator into scanning spot light and performs a raster-scanning in which horizontal and vertical scans are repeated on a screen and a two-dimensional picture is generated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
