PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image superposition barcode that is easily discriminated and managed and has high expressive power, and a color image superposition barcode generating method and device. PSOLUTION: A barcode image, a color image for a code area and a color image for a background area are prepared, and luminance correction and color correction are applied to the color image for a code area and the color image for a background area so as to separate a code area from a background area when read by a bar code reader (S1). Next, a barcode area of the barcode image is replaced with the color image for a code area subjected to the luminance correction and the color correction and a background area is replaced with the color image for a background area subjected to the luminance correction and the color correction to generate a color image superposition barcode image (S2).
