PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low tar-content cigarette that has the tobacco taste comparable to that of the conventional cigarette of high tar content. ;SOLUTION: This cigarette includes a filter. The filter 3 comprises the filter zone (T₁) that is located on the tobacco side and is composed of the paper having very high sucking resistance and a very high filtering coefficient, the filter zone (T₃) that is located on the mouth side and is composed of cellulose acetate having very low sucking resistance and a very low filtering coefficient, the filter zone (T₂) that is located between the zone T₁ and the zone T₃ and surrounds the tobacco-tasting means which can modify the tobacco taste and the air hole (P) that is bored in the center area (T₂).
