PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mortar composition from which a hardened body having more improved corrosion resistance than that of a conventional hardened body is obtained, and to provide a construction method for inhibiting corrosion of a concrete structure, comprising coating the surface of the concrete structure with the mortar composition. PSOLUTION: It is found that the corrosion resistance of mortar is remarkably improved by using not only alumina cement having excellent corrosion resistance as a hydraulic component but also an aggregate having high corrosion resistance. Thus, the mortar composition suitable for a facility in a corrosive environment contains as essential ingredients alumina cement and alumina cement clinker.
