PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite machine capable of simply enhancing the application development efficiency, even when a control apparatus applies new control to the composite machine. PSOLUTION: The composite machine 1 materializes machine functions by properly combining a plurality of element functions, including a scan function, a print function, and a communication function and executing the combined functions. The composite machine 1 includes a service layer 13 for executing the element functions; an API table storage section for storing an API table wherein a second API receptible by the service layer 13 and a first API for executing the machine function are stored, in cross reference with each other; and an Open I/F layer 19 for receiving the first API, particularizing the second API corresponding to the first API from the API table, and outputting the particularized second API to the service layer 13.
