PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, etc., for ameliorating disease symptoms caused by e.g. mood disorder or related disorder such as depression or anxiety disorder and a method for searching active ingredients for medicines effective for treating the mood disorder or the related disorder and to provide a model mammal, etc., utilized in the method. PSOLUTION: The method for ameliorating disease symptoms caused by mood disorder or related disorder comprises a step for excessively making either one of the following proteins exist in the brain in mammal. These proteins includes (a) an activated Gm1 protein having a specific sequence and (b) a protein composed of an amino acid sequence in which one or a plurality of amino acids are lost, added or substituted, having functions as the activated Gm1 protein in the activated Gm1 protein having the specific sequence.
