PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deformation of a lithographic printing plate when it is positioned, and to improve positioning precision to the lithographic printing plate without lowering lithographic printing plate-carrying speed by a carrying means.;SOLUTION: The lithographic printing plate 46 charged onto a stacking surface 54 by a belt conveyor 42 continues its movement in a carrying direction by inertial force, and its tip surface is applied to a pair of back stoppers 58. A coil spring 74 compressed by the lithographic printing plate 46 energizes the lithographic printing plate 46 toward a front stopper 92. The lithographic printing plate 46 is thus abutted on a positioning surface 80 of the front stopper 92. A lower layer of the positioning surface 80 is composed of a cushion member comprising spongy elastic material, and a metal protective sheet covering the surface of the cushion member. Since the cushion member is elastically deformed, motion energy from the lithographic printing plate 46 is eliminated, thereby impact applied on the lithographic printing plate 46 can be reduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
