PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing the anode foil of an aluminum electrolytic capacitor for middle and high voltages, which increases productivity and capable of obtaining a significantly big surface area to increase the capacitance while the cost of the method is lower than that of a conventional one.;SOLUTION: In the manufacturing process of the anode foil of the aluminum electrolytic capacitor manufactured by etching processing, at least one kind or more of a metallic compound and chlorine ion out of Mg, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Cu, Ge, Nb, Mo, Pb, Ag, In, Sn, Sb, W, Tl and Pb are contained in at least one-stage etchant out of pit formation processes, electrochemical processing is not performed, and pits are formed by an electroless process or a small current to expand the surface area.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
