PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide mica powder for cosmetic use developing moderate luster without damaging the spreadability and adhesivity of the cosmetic. ;SOLUTION: The mica powder has a 50 wt.% diameter of ≤10 μm determined by laser-diffraction particle size distribution measurement. Mica powder having neutral pH as 10% suspension liquid and electrical conductivity of ≤40 μS/cm develops moderate luster and keeps or rather improves the spreadability and the adhesivity.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
