PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily discriminate and trace a unique mode regarding oscillation through shape change in accordance with design of structure for design support of the structure.;SOLUTION: The structure optimization system constituted so as to calculate a design variable for optimization of the structure while sequentially changing the initial shape model of the structure for a design purpose is provided with a unique mode tracing means 30 for discriminating and tracing the target unique mode regarding the oscillation of the structure through sequential changes of a shape model, wherein the unique mode tracing means has: a unique mode image creation part 32 which creates a unique mode image obtained by converting the unique mode into an image; a discrimination information extraction part 34 which extracts discrimination information for discriminating the target unique mode from the unique mode image, and a unique mode discrimination part 36 which discriminates the target unique mode on the basis of the discrimination information.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
