PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel tank leakage detector capable of surely and promptly detecting leakages, even if there are temperature variations of fuel tanks or tank deformation due to installation conditions.;SOLUTION: An underground tank leakage detector for detecting the liquid level of liquid in a reserve tank 31 is constituted, such that a reserve tank 1 communicating to a space is prepared at the top of an underground tank body 11 of the duplex shell structure, forming an outer tank 11b at the outer side of an inner tank 11a via the space, and a liquid is encapsulated in the space and the reserve tank 31. In this case, the underground tank leakage detector is equipped with a calculating section 51 for implementing calculations of controlling liquid quantity, based on the temperature variation of liquid in the reserve tank 31 and the space and/or calculations of detected liquid level, resulting from pressure deformation due to fuel level variations of the underground tank body 11, and a leakage discriminating section 54 discriminating leakage from the calculated result of the present calculating section 51.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
