LIQUID LEAKAGE DETECTOR FOR UNDERGROUND TANK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid leakage detector for an underground tank for detecting a float floating on the surface of a liquid that has leaked, the detector being configured so that the lifting force of a cord or wire inspecting an operation is transmitted to the float in a balance manner, thereby preventing an erroneous operation in inspection, and the structure is simple and the number of components is reduced.;SOLUTION: The liquid leakage detector includes: a cylindrical body provided separately from the storage portion of the tank such that its inside communicates with an empty space between the inner and outer shells of the tank; the float guided in an ascending/descending direction by a linear guide disposed in the bottom of the cylindrical body; a switch for detecting the ascending/detecting movements of the float; a second linear guide provided parallel to the linear guide; a moving body attached to a bracket fixed to the float to ascend/descend along the second linear guide in the sidewise direction of the float. The cord or wire for lifting up the float for checking the movement is connected to a part of the bracket between the float and moving body.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
