PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a body for sealing a stimulable phosphor sheet which are free from failures in a stimulable phosphor layer and where the width of the interstice around the stimulable phosphor sheet is narrow, and a sealing part is stable.;SOLUTION: In the method for sealing the stimulable phosphor sheet where the sheet is sandwiched between two sealing films that are larger than it and the periphery of it is sealed with a heat sealer under a reduced pressure condition, the heat sealer has a stiff member with a heater which can press the sealing film on the side of a support for the stimulable phosphor sheet and an elastic member which can press the sealing film on the side of the stimulable phosphor layer. In the elastic member, Rs 5 to 15 are placed in the corners of the parts where the edges of the periphery of the stimulable phosphor sheet are pressed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
