PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method by which reduction of color reproducibility due to cross-talk can be prevented with respect to an optical address type spatial optical modulator constituted so that a plurality of optical address type optical modulation layers are stacked.;SOLUTION: The driving method of the optical address type spatial optical modulator is characterized in that laminated optical address type optical modulation layers (4BG, 4R) comprises: optical conduction layers (15BG, 15R) including pairs of charge generating layers adjusted so as to show wavelength dispersion in their absorption spectra and to show impedance symmetry; and liquid crystal layers (12BG, 12R), and the intensity of exposure light in a writing step in at least one optical address type optical modulation layer (4BG) is set as the intensity in a specified region where final light reflectance of at least one optical address type optical modulation layer (4R) except the optical address type optical modulation layer (4BG) dulls in the first place from a gradual increase tendency to increase of intensity of light.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
