PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality detection system, a monitor device and a monitor company computer for detecting the abnormality of a flexible monitor device and a notification path by suppressing communication costs. PSOLUTION: An abnormality detecting system S is configured of a monitor device 11 for monitoring a monitor object device 10 installed at a customer destination 1 and a monitor company computer 3 connected through a public network 2 to the monitor device 11. The next alive notification time information is attached to alive notification from the monitor device 11 to the monitor company computer 3. When receiving the alive notification from the monitor device 11, the next alive notification time is set based on the attached next alive notification time information in the monitor company computer 3. When the next alive notification is not received from the monitor device 11 even after the lapse of the next alive notification time, it is decided that the abnormality of the monitor device 11 or the notification path has been generated.
