PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact EL panel as a display device which is tolerant of an external shock and to obtain a large-screen display device which has no deterioration in picture quality at a joint part and high definition even when a plurality of compact EL panels are arrayed in two dimensions.;SOLUTION: The display device is equipped with a glass substrate 14 as a transparent substrate, a light emission layer 18 formed on a surface of the glass substrate 14, a sealing film 20 which covers the light emission layer 18, and an insulating substrate 15 which is stuck on the sealing film 20 across an adhesion layer 21, and the sealing film 20 spreads to outside the light emission layer 18 when viewed in plane, and is in direct contact with the glass substrate 14 as the transparent substrate or the protection film 16 covering the surface of the transparent substrate outside the light emission layer 18.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
