PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective power calculation method which can obtain practically an effective power consumed by a capacitor based on an electrostatic capacity, a dielectric dispersion factor and a waveform of a periodic voltage of the capacitor.;SOLUTION: The wave form of the periodic voltage V (t) applied to the capacitor is set in step S1, a requested electrostatic capacity of the capacitor is input in step S2, the periodic voltage V (t) applied to the capacitor terminals is transformed by Fourier method in step S5, that is, the periodic voltage V (t) is transformed by Fourier method into a sine wave and cosine wave series of a higher-order frequency component.
