PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quality evaluation apparatus of farm products capable of avoiding disadvantage such that the quality evaluation value of an object to be measured is calculated as a value largely containing an error by the error of reference spectrum data.;SOLUTION: Diffracted spectrum data calculated by projecting light on a reference body 25 for calibration is set as reference diffracted spectrum data and light is projected on the reference body 25 for calibration by a floodlight projection means 7 to calculate diffracted spectrum data for discrimination. With respect to a quality evaluation value for comparison calculated on the basis of the diffracted spectrum data for calibration and the reference diffracted spectrum data, it is judged whether the quality evaluation value for discrimination calculated on the basis of the diffracted spectrum data for discrimination and the diffracted spectrum data for calibration is in proper relation and, in the case of the proper relation, the diffracted spectrum data for discrimination is updated as the reference diffracted spectrum data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
