PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immunological examination method capable of quickly detecting an examining object with high sensitivity as to immunochromatography, and to provide a kit for the method. ;SOLUTION: In this method, a testing sample is located between one end of a water-absorbing base material provided with a stationary phase to which the first immunochemical component bonded specifically to an examining object is immobilized and the stationary phase, a mixture of the second labeled immunochemical component bonded specifically to the examining object and the third labeled immunochemical component bonded specifically to the second immunochemical component is developed from one end of the base material to form a doubly labeled immunocomplex on the stationary phase, so as to amplify labeling thereby. This kit of the present invention is a kit for the method hereinbefore.
