PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toll collection system dispensing with a dedicated card reader for performing collector authentication in time of a service start and end, and allowing easy and certain the collector authentication in time of the service start and end.;SOLUTION: In this toll collection system, reading/writing of an IC card for business and an ETC card is performed by a common IC card reader/writer 40. During non-service of a toll collection machine 10 and a traffic lane controller 20, a collector is authenticated on the basis of identification information of the collector read from the IC card for the business by the IC card reader/writer 40, and service of the toll collection machine 30 and the traffic lane controller 20 is made to be started. In time of service end processing, service totaling data including totaling data of a toll collection result of the toll collection machine 30 and the traffic lane controller 20 are recorded in the IC card for the business as a backup by the IC card reader/writer 40.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
