PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently manufacturing ultrafine silver particles at a relatively low temperature, preferably at a temperature as low as ≤100°C, and at a relatively high silver salt/polyol concentration, also to provide hereby the ultrafine silver particles (silver powder) having 1 to 100 nm average particle size, particularly of the order of several to several tens nanometers, and also having narrow particle size distribution and excellent storage stability and further to produce the ultrafine silver particles at low cost on an industrial scale.;SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the ultrafine silver particles, silver salt, polyethylene glycol of 400 to 20,000 average molecular weight and a stabilizer are mixed and heated to form the ultrafine silver particles.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
