A rotating periodic color-changing module of the picture generation device is disclosed to improve the usage of light. The rotating periodic color-changing module comprises a light interleaver and a color-changing processor. By using a grating for the light interleaver, the emitting light interleaves three parts with different wavelengths, R, G and B, to the corresponding color filter. Parts of the light will be reflected by the color filter, and further reflect by the mirror around the grating and go back to the color filter. So most of the light will pass through the color filter. Then emits three uniform lights to the color-changing processor to change color of the lights periodically and rapidly for generating picture.
