PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system hardly generating fragmentation even when additional write is performed to a file.;SOLUTION: In the computer system provided with a storage device 100 and a computer 200 connected to the storage device 100 and accessing read and write of the file, in storing the file in the storage device 100, when a front position file stored at the front of a position where it is scheduled to store the file is provided with writable file attributes, a size of a free area to be provided between the file and the front position file is decided on the basis of a using frequency of the front position file and information of a free capacity of the storage device 100, the free area is provided between the file and the front position file and the file is stored.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
