PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for fixing a cemented carbide tip by which the cemented carbide tip can withstand use under high temperatures regarding the method for fixing the cemented carbide tip in a cemented carbide tool mounting a cemented carbide tip such as a drilling bit and a percussion tool.;SOLUTION: A tip hole with a larger diameter than the outer diameter of the cemented carbide tip is provided on a proper place of a steel base metal. The base of the cemented carbide tip having an inclined outer peripheral face, in which the diameter at the front end part is small and the diameter at the base side is gradually expanded, is fitted into the tip hole. A pressing plate, whose outer diameter is almost equal to the inner diameter of the tip hole and which has a through-hole engaged with the intermediate part of the cemented carbide tip at the central part, is fitted into the tip hole. The outer peripheral part of the pressing plate is welded and fixed to the peripheral edge part of the tip hole in a state that the outer peripheral face of the cemented carbide tip is pressed with the inner peripheral face of the through-hole.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
