PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential case for a differential device capable of maintaining performance of a differential gear contained inside. PSOLUTION: In this differential case 5, the differential gear 40 is contained inside, and when a vehicle is driven, it can be normally and reversely rotated by driving force from a transmission. Two first projections 13a and two second projections 13b are alternately formed on an outer circumferential surface CR of a large diameter part 12. Between the first projection 13a and the second projection 13b, opening parts 17a and 17b are respectively formed. A side surface 13c of the first projection 13a on the normal rotation side is acute to the outer circumferential surface CR.
