To provide a rhythm generating method for singing voice synthesis which can save and reproduce a special singing method by decreasing the number of small rhythm element pieces stored in a database. SOLUTION: A note series is divided to generate note series data and small rhythm element pieces are read out of a rhythm database stored with small rhythm element pieces having sets of fundamental frequency series corresponding to note series data extracted from an actual singing voice are stored according to the generated note series data and deformed in the time direction and pitch direction and concatenated to generate singing rhythm information.
