PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin showing high absorptivity at a specified temperature and having high stability against heat and solvents by including a copolymer obtained by polymerizing N-isopropylacrylamide with a specified vinylbenzylphosphonium salt monomer in the presence of a crosslink agent. ;SOLUTION: This resin contains a copolymer obtained by polymerizing N- isopropylacrylamide with a vinylbenzylphosphonium salt monomer of the formula, desirably being at least one member selected among tributyl-4- vinylbenzylphosphonium chloride, trihexyl-4-vinylbezylphosphonium chloride, and trioctyl-4-vinylbenzylphosphonium choride in the presence of a crosslinking agent, desirably being N,N'-methylenebisacrylamide or N,N'- methylenebismethacrylamide.
