PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repair method by field welding by which thermal strain has been made within an allowable limit and hardness has been made within the one by which a build-up welding part can be machined on the spot at the time of repair by the field welding of the pressure-resistant surface of the die of a metal product stock manufacturing machine, etc., such as a sheet metal press, etc. ;SOLUTION: The upper layer of a base material surface to be repaired, consists of a base layer of a build-up welding part, an intermediate layer and a surface layer.
