PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image photographing apparatus capable of deciding, after photographing, whether the autofocusing is executed at photographing, an image photographing method, a control program for the image photographing apparatus, and a recording medium with the control program recorded thereon. PSOLUTION: A controller 20 comprises a time acquirer 30 for acquiring the time when a specified operation is made for photographing, a photographing interval time calculator 31 for calculating, from the acquired time, the photographing interval time of a photographing switch 21 from a half pushed state to a full-pushed state, an image file recorder 32 for recording an image file GF including the photographing interval time, a photographing condition information acquirer 33 for acquiring the photographing interval time from the image file GF, and an estimator 34 for estimating whether the autofocusing is executed, based on the photographing interval time.
